Mayan Ruins
Last Sunday I went with the family to see some of the Mayan ruins in Honduras. It was incredible! I was amazed at the fact that I was actually looking at magnificent structures that still remain from around 700 B.C.
One of the cutest little girls I've ever seen.
It was neat exlporing the large tunnels that are inside some of these structures.
Some of the large "Mayan" ant hills.
These parrots are so beautiful. I've never been so close to a parrot like this before! Pretty cool.
Honduran love.
This is the quaint city of Mayan Ruins.
Stopping for some ice cream. I got a Guanabana popsicle. Yum! One of my most favorite tropical fruits.

Hey Jon! It's awesome to see pictures from your neck of the woods. I came storming up to the staff lounge in a furious, anxious, angry, uptight mood after a long strained week with a group of dramatic and diverse girls. It's hard to hold in all negative feelings for a whole week and I was starting to snap by the end. i just dropped them off at the pool and i ran away to this location to search for a seclution of peace and tranquility. i got your e-mail and the pictures calmed me down alot. To tell you the truth, this week had more to do with life in general than with just dealing with being a councelor. Jona and I had a "falling out" It didn't go good this week at all. I called dad and it was his birthday... i had forgotten all about it. he had to remind me to wish him a happy birthday. Then they told me that they were moving to Layfaete. (however you spell that) so we're going to be going back to a totally different house this time. *sigh* gosh, i just feel so inadequate to do this job. I'm not good with kids. This next week i'm going to an adventure kids councelor. I have a feeling it's going to be even harder. I admire you alot for going to hondurous and teaching kids for a whole year. Jonathan, even if i had gone with you, i'm not sure i could have done it. I'm amazed. i feel like i lost my security blanket. Oh boy... anyways, your looking good. I hope you have a wonderful day! God Bless! Sincerely Your little Sister
Hi There! Thanks for your comments that you left over on 'My Journey' and on 'Pilgrims' blog. Unfortunately, my husband has given up on blogging. I am still going strong- since it is therapeutic for me. I appreciate your honesty. It is rare that I find people who are REAL.
I VERY much enjoyed the pictures you post here. I am jealous- as I have never been outside the country. What a beautiful place. Your are very fortunate to have this opportunity- many people can only dream of seeing such places.
Blessings to You, My Brother!!
