I'm Finally Going! In His Time.

Well, it's hard to believe but I'm finally heading out. In just a few days I'll be bombarded with the sites, smells, and culture of Honduras. I thought I was going to be leaving on the 15th of January but when that weekend and then the next weekend past, I started wondering if I would really be going to Honduras after all. I prayed that God would make it completely clear exactly what He wanted me to do because I didn't want to do something they He wasn't planning. That doesn't make much sense. The more I experience with God by my side, good or bad, the more I realize that God's way is always the best. His plans are amazing and His thoughts are far beyond ours. I knew His timing is best and I prayed that if He had other plans for me that he would slam the door shut on Honduras. There is so much peace in trusting in God's plans. It freed me to just enjoy the wonderful school-free days I had while waiting around at Southern. Wherever we are at, whatever we are doing God has awesome adventures waiting for us each day. And now, I'm so excited that I'm finally going to Honduras, and best of all, I know 100% that God is taking me down this road. Now all I have to do is hang on for the crazy ride!

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:11,12

Finally! We'll miss you, but it's not like you come around Michigan much, and even when you do, nobody's here... At any rate, though, I'm so glad to hear it! I've been praying for you, and will continue to. Don't forget to take some good books!

We are excited FOR you!! I hope that you will learn many new concepts about God while you are in Honduras. The people there have much to teach you- keep your eyes & your heart open. I'm looking forward to the adventure stories you will share & write songs about when you get back. Blessings to you!

these are exactly the words that i am going to be saying, in a few short weeks, as I am heading out from my hometown to seek the life, the place God has, to be used by Him, to find those who are hungry, thirsty and ready for God.

Wow- with trailady's blog I hit the jackpot!
